manda-rae's Haul

Stacking the Shelves consists of books we received in the last week, hosted by Tynga's reviews.

Is everyone excited for Christmas?  I got the majority of my shopping done yesterday.  Just a few knick-knacks left.

Gifted:

  • Christmas Card from Angela
      • I love getting Christmas cards and Kimberly from Turning the Pages sets up a Christmas Card Exchange for book lovers.  And Angela's card is the first one I've received so far.  Thanks Angela!
  • Owl Bookmark
      • I made a few of these and sent them with my Christmas cards.  I thought they were super cute, so I had to make one for myself.  It's okay for me to give myself gifts, right?

From the Library:

  • Visions of Supgar Plums by Janet Evanovich
  • To The Nines by Janet Evanovich

For Review (e-edition):

Dr. 2 by Peter Tieryas and James Chiang
This is my first graphic novel on this site.  I'm not one who flocks to graphic novels because my imagination tends to go wild with books as it is.  But this one looked interesting, and maybe it's about time I start checking out graphic novels.  Drawings can be just as powerful as words.  Thanks goes to Peter Tieryas for my review copy.

Tangled Up in Trouble by Olivia Hardin
The first book in this series was a novella that did a good job of quickly introducing you to the story and diving right into Lynlee's world.  I enjoyed it and wanted to see more.  And Olivia Hardin was kind enough to let me review the second one.

  3. I started the Stephanie Plum series and I want to pick up the third book (before I've read a couple of books randomly). Awesome book haul,

  6. You can totally give yourself gifts!! It's half the fun of shopping for other people. ;)

Dr. 2 sounds really interesting. I do like graphic novels and I want to try and read more.
