Top Ten Books That Were Totally Deceiving

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week's post is Top Ten Books That Were Totally Deceiving.

Hmm, this should be interesting.  I wonder if I need to give an explanation for each book I list.  Meh, there's a reason I put it in the list when I created the list.  But if you ask me later, I may not be able to recall my reasoning  (I'm a little sleep-deprived right now).

Pleasantly Deceived:

Blood Red Road by Moira Young
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness
Marley & Me by John Grogan

Just plain deceived:

Awaken by Katie Kacvinsky
Blood by KJ Wignall
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
The Vespertine by Saundra Mitchell

  1. I want to read The Night Circus...what was it that deceived you? I'm glad to see Grave Mercy on your pleasantly deceived list. I really want to read it, but keep seeing so many mixed reviews.
