In My Mailbox

The "In My Mailbox" post consists of which books we bought during the past week, hosted by The Story Siren.

For Review:
  • Blood Born by Jamie Manning
    • Amazon | Book Depository | Goodreads
      • Vampires!  I just barely finished this book, and I enjoyed it.  Also, the cover seems to depict the book's theme very well. Thanks goes to the DAC ARC Tours for setting up this ARC tour.

Won from Jean BookNerd:
  • Syrie James Bookmark
      • As fun as it would be to win a puppy in a book giveaway, it was the bookmark I won.  I just decided the Gizmo could model it (since he's an avid lap-sleeper when I'm reading).  And now I think I need to purchase of couple of books to match it, like Forbidden and Dracula, My Love (both by Syrie James).

For Review (e-edition):

The Hollow of Mont Noir by Jennifer Krey
A paranormal book regarding an animal empath.  Say what?  Now add to it the horrors of moving to a new city and starting at a new high school all while trying to find a missing brother.  I do believe I'm in for a treat with this book.  Thanks goes to Jennifer Krey for providing me a review copy.
Intangible by J Meyers
Another paranormal read regarding gifted twins.  And an ill-fated destiny (or so it seems from reading the description).  But isn't the cover gorgeous?  So purple...  Thanks goes to J Meyers for providing me a review copy.

Worlds Burn Through and Shadowed Ground by Vicki Keire
1 - Amazon | 2 - Amazon
1 - Goodreads | 2 - Goodreads
So funny story:  I read the description for the second book and thought, "This sounds awesome."  So I put in a review request and realized only after I was approved for it that it was volume 2.  Fortunately the first one was listed for review as well.  Hence, I'll be reading both in the near future.  Thanks goes to Curiosity Quills Press and Netgalley.

Artemis Fowl and The Arctic Incident by Eoin Colfer
Disney-Hyperion has a promotion going for the Artemis Fowl books.  The books are available to Netgalley members each month to help build up the suspense for the final novel which comes out in July.  I figured I'd give the first two books a go.  Thanks goes to Disney-Hyperion and Netgalley.

  1. That is awesome that you got your dog to stay for a picture. I wish mine would, but when I pull out the camera half the time she runs out of the room

    Happy Reading

  8. Great set of books. I also got the first two books in the Nowhere Chronicles recently, but I haven't started them yet. And I read Artemis Fowl when I was young and loved it! I have 3 of the books in the series in hard copy, but I'm always on the lookout to complete my collection.
