Top Ten Favorite Quotes From Books

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week's post is Top Ten Favorite Quotes From Books.

Hmm, so a couple of weeks ago, I confessed that I have a hard time remembering character names.  So, what makes you think I can recall quotes?!  So, here's what I've decided to do.  I'm going to list quotes from my previous (and upcoming) reviews that stood out to me.  Just note, there isn't going to be ten of them...

The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda
Lunchtime has always been a challenge for me because I don't have any friends. I'm a loner, partly because it's safer---less interaction, less chance of being found out. Mostly, though, it's the prospect of being eaten alive by your so-called friend that kills any possibility of shared intimacy. Call me picky, but imminent death at the hands (or teeth) of a friend who would suckle blood out of you at the drop of a hat. . . that throws a monkey wrench into friendship building.

Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver
I imagine one day I will fly a plane over Portland, over Rochester, over every fenced-in city in the whole country, and I will bomb and bomb and bomb, and watch all their buildings smoldering to dust, and all those people melting and bleeding into flame, and I will see how they like it.
     ~ p. 147

Kevin's Point of View by Del Shannon
"Kevin?" his mother called from the living room. "I'm going to the store to pick up a few groceries... ...I'll be back in a few hours. Do you want anything?"...
...He scowled as he yelled, "Wire cutters, three sticks of dynamite, glow-in-the-dark paint, a hard hat, and something you can put in coffee to make someone think all your homework answers are right."
Mrs Tobin sighed. "I'll just get you some granola bars."

The Hollow of Mont Noir by Jennifer Krey
Hope is a vampire, relentless and evil. It slowly sucks the life out of you while it lives on, lurking in the shadows, waiting to feast on your soul.
     ~ p. 3

The giveaway for The Hollow of Mont Noir ends this week.
